About Me! Your Nursing Big Sis!
Avery Bendall, BSN, RN
Hi! I am so happy you’re here!
When I started my nursing career in the summer of 2023, I quickly realized that being a new grad nurse was much harder than I expected. I found myself crying on my way to work, having panic attacks on my days off, and dreading going to the job I had once dreamed about. I felt lost, alone, and like maybe I just wasn’t cut out for this career.
But over time, I gained the tools, resources, support, and perspective that helped me not only survive my first year of nursing, but begin to thrive. I love being a nurse more than almost anything in the world and my goal is to help you love it too. The first year of nursing is not easy, and this mentorship is not intended to take all of the struggles away. But my hope is that it can be a soft place for you to land while navigating the hardest season of nursing.
Because you are not behind. You are not failing.
You are just learning.
Today, I work as an Oncology Nurse and am in graduate school to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. While I do love the medicine involved with nursing, more than anything, I just love people. I am so excited for the opportunity to help support you on your journey to becoming a confident, competent, and compassionate nurse.
As always, the sun is shining and it's the most beautiful day!
